My name is Diana Soriano, I am bilingual, bicultural, and I am a UIC Alumna. I advise students in the College of Business Administration and the College of Education. When I am not in the office, I immerse myself in the UIC environment and enjoy exploring the city of Chicago by attending concerts, lectures, and cultural events.

GRAD HOURLY POSITION! GPPA PROGRAM

The Guaranteed Professional Program Admissions (GPPA) in the College of
Medicine is seeking a part-time hourly graduate student to support the
ongoing developmental needs and growing interest of the GPPA Program.

This is a 20 hour per week position reporting directly to the Assistant
Director and responsible to the Director beginning prior to the start of the
fall 2011 semester. Please know this is an hourly paid position that is not
accompanied by a tuition waiver.

GPPA is a collection of programs at UIC that allows students to gain
admission into a professional school upon acceptance into the university as
undergraduates.

GPPA Medicine, which grants acceptance into the University of Illinois
College of Medicine, is one of the most popular programs offered, attracting
close to 400 applicants a year from across the state of Illinois.


Responsibilities for this position include:

·         Analyze program data for development and evaluation purposes.
 Will be required to become familiar with content management programs that
the College of Medicine widely uses.

·         Implement special events.

·         Assist with all aspects of the admissions process including data
entry of applications and scheduling interviews.

·         Maintain Blackboard site.

·         Assist in development functions and programs.

·         Other duties as needed.

Strong interpersonal communication skills and proficiency in basic Microsoft
Office software are required.
