The Commuter Student Resource Center (CSRC)

Are you one of the 85% of UIC Students who live off campus?

The Commuter Student Resource Center (CSRC) provides programs, services, and
facilities to foster student success. 

Our facilities, located in Suite 245 of Student Center East (off the Inner Circle
and adjacent to the Wellness Center) include lounging space, private and group study
areas, computers, a kitchen area, lockers, showers, private lactation rooms, and
more.  The CSRC is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30a.m. to 6p.m. and Friday from
7:30a.m. to 5p.m.

On a walk-in basis, students can get assistance with their transportation, off
campus housing, and resource referral needs.

The CSRC also produces programming of particular interest to commuter students.
Upcoming events include:

-        Game Day in the CSRC - Come relax and make new friends!  Game Days in the CSRC
will occur on September 30, October 21 and November 18. 
-        Bike Maintenance Workshop - September 20 at 2p.m. on the Quad. Feel free to bring
your bike!
-        Commuter Appreciation Week - September 26-30 - A variety of events and programs
from many offices occurring throughout the campus are in the works - Look for more
information and a schedule of events on our website soon!
-        Take a Professor to Lunch -Allows students in groups of 2 - 8 to visit with a
professor outside of the classroom environment on topics ranging from career advice
to research interests.  The CSRC hosts and provides the lunch. This event is first
come, first serve and signup is initiated by the student at the CSRC.
