and wants to work with high school students as a near peer advisor? MDRC is looking to hire recent college graduates to serve as College Match advisors. They are especially interested in identifying strong Latina/Latino candidates who are bilingual in English and Spanish. Applicants should apply immediately as MDRC is now in the process of concluding the first round of interviews. The advisors will provide related assistance to these students through: * Information sharing and awareness building: Building knowledge among students and their families around general application strategies, financial aid, and the concept of a "match" school. Providing exposure to more selective colleges through a combination of tours and events (e.g., alumni and admissions representative visits, etc.). * Individualized advising: Helping students identify „best fit schools among an appropriately matched set of schools based on their individual interests and abilities and developing a competitive transcript (e.g., deciding whether to re-take the ACT, determining how best to use the summer between junior and senior year, etc.). * Supporting the application process: Helping students navigate the administrative aspects of the college application process, including: developing competitive applications and essays, procuring fee waivers, and supporting timely completion of the FAFSA. * Decision-making and planning ahead: Helping students choose between multiple acceptances and financial aid awards. Preparing for college life and planning for a smooth transition. Developing personal goals and
