Applying to Law School

The Applying to Law School Webinar has been especially
designed for University of Illinois alumni who have decided
to pursue a legal education. If you are not interested in
the application process for law school, but you know someone
else who is, please click through the Registration links
until you see the "Send This Invitation To Other People"
section.

The workshop provides an in-depth, step by step explanation
of the process of applying to law school, with a special focus
on the concerns of working professionals who are making a
transition into legal education.

Attendees will learn how to:
• Plan for the Law School Admission Test
• Navigate the Law School Admission Council services
• Obtain letters of recommendation; deciding who to approach,
how to discuss it, and what law schools are looking for
• Draft an effective personal statement
• Develop a strategy for success in the application process
• Polish law school applications to make them shine

Common application pitfalls and questions will be directly
addressed in the workshop. There will be extra time in this
workshop to take questions from those who are currently
applying to law school. Attendees will receive resources
and tips to assist you through the application process as well.

Alumni can participate via Webinar for $10. A recording of
the Webinar will be available for any alumnus who has paid
for the session.
