Planning a spring event on campus and need funding? SAFC can help!

Dear Student Organization Leaders:

Are you planning an upcoming on-campus event this
spring semester and need funding?

The Student Activities Funding Committee (SAFC) can help
make your ideas a reality!
SAFC allocates funds from student fees for special events,
lectures, and performances to enrich the cultural environment
of the university and enhance campus life. The committee
approves funding for programs from student organizations or
groups of students of the university community. Programs
funded by SAFC must be open to all university students,
faculty, and staff.

Each organization is limited to a maximum of 8% ($14,000)
of the overall budget for the entire year. There is a maximum
of 4% ($7,000) for a single day event and 8% ($14,000) for an
event series. Please contact 312-413-5079 for information.

Please see the attached program proposal with more detailed
information. Please notice the deadline dates with correspond
with your date of your event. For programs occurring between
Feb. 21 and March 6, 2011 the deadline is this Friday,
January 14, 2011 by 3:00 p.m.

Mark your calendar for an upcoming SAFC workshop to be held
on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in Room 613,
Student Center East.

For more information, please feel free to contact me
at 312-413-5079.

All the Best,
